This week’s Weird Wednesdays is… a big one.

We finally unveiled something we’ve been quietly working on for months: our partnership with WeaverFlow, an AI company led by Dr. Lucien Pyczynski.

Dr. Lucien (as he likes to be called) believes fear isn’t something to avoid, but something to measure. His team has built a system that reads emotion and uses it to help artists create more powerful, more emotional — and yes, more frightening — experiences.

When I first heard about it, I wasn’t sure what to think. “Quantifying fear” sounded like something out of an episode of Black Mirror, one of those ideas that probably shouldn’t exist outside the screen.

But seeing how it’s already helping the team shape Nightholme’s creatures, faster, stranger, and somehow more human, it’s hard not to be curious.We’re cooking something for you all on Discord to test it for yourselves soon. More news to come…Can fear be cured? Should it be?
